Romaine is deeply in love with her best friend, Juliet. But she is doomed to pining, considering Juliet is marrying in five days a wonderful man named Paul. But there is a more important barrier to this longing: Juliet and Romaine are both religious and believe in a God of peace, but who forbids homosexuality. But what good is there in looking at a rose one cannot touch? But perhaps Romaine can extend the arm and brush a petal with her fingers...
